Dynasty boys soccer, a local club soccer team, has had a very good season so far, according to Kaleo Gaberel. So far in the season, the boys have had a record of 1-1. They hope to win at least 10 games, Gaberel said. One of the most active players on the team, Vincent Foxe-Roberson, said, “I like to play on a club team because I get to play with my friends, and it can be more competitive than rec soccer.” Foxe-Roberson also said, “I like to be on the wing side because I can go fast, and I can help score goals.”

This soccer team has worked together for 3 years now, so the bond they have together is really strong. They have improved so much from the first year, said Gaberel. Each player has grown into a stronger player individually and as a whole team. In their first year of club soccer, they lost almost all of their games and weren’t very happy with the results at the end of the year. In the second year of playing together, they improved and became a better team. Now in their third year of playing on the soccer team, they got new players to work with, and it made the team bigger and even stronger. They hope to score many goals this season and really work on their passing and working together as a team.
Parker Duprey, one of the captains, said, “Being on a club team gives me more opportunities to play games and practice more soccer.” He also goes on to say that he and his team work together to win games by practicing three times a week and making sure that outside of practice, they get touches on the ball. On the other hand, Nakue Faulkner, another captain, said, “I like being on Dynasty soccer because my team has a special bond and practices are always fun.” Both Faulkner and Duprey said that they love the coaches and are very close with them. Duprey mentioned that he wants his team to hopefully go to a higher level at the end of the season. To strengthen their game, the team collectively does conditioning workouts at least once a week to build better stamina.
Although their first two seasons didn’t go very well, they are willing to try their hardest to become better this season. Faulkner, Duprey, Foxe-Roberson, and Gaberel are all looking forward to scoring many goals this season and working on communicating with their team to reach their goals. Gaberel says he hopes that they will actually be able to reach these goals as a team and have the best season possible.
