Last year we said goodbye to our long time AP Literature, Yearbook, and Journalism teacher Ms. Zolnoski, we now welcome Mrs. Domenic into the Morro Bay High School community. Domenic has been teaching for 14 years, beginning at Mission Preparatory Catholic High School in San Luis Obispo, and then moving to Paso Robles High School. She said that she had always wanted to work in this school district due to the friendly community. She feels that this school is a good fit for her, but one small drawback is adapting to the new room configurations; her desk is at the back of the classroom. Mrs. Domenic is most surprised by the laid back atmosphere at our school, and is excited to work with the students and staff in this environment.

She is enthusiastic about teaching AP Literature because the small class sizes allow her to give more feedback to help students grow. Mrs. Domenic emphasized that she is also looking forward to supporting the seniors through their journey into college.

In her free time, she enjoys reading anything and everything, but she mentioned a few standouts: Candîd and Catch 22. Mrs. Domenic has always lived in San Luis Obispo, and on her commute she enjoys listening to podcasts and music from DJs around the world. In high school she played softball, and was part of national honor society, philosophy club, and read classic literature on her own time.

Domenic always wanted to study English, so it is no surprise that she became an English teacher. Her words of advice for students are to be confident and always believe in yourself.
