MBHS Girls Varsity Waterpolo Notches First Ever Victory Against Atascadero

The varsity girls played a tournament this past weekend, October 5th and 6th, here at Morro Bay High. They played  Atascadero, Santa Maria, and Pioneer Valley. Winning all three games. They took a first ever victory in the Morro Bay program over Atascadero, winning 5-0. Senior Camille Sherrod said “This was the most rewarding experience and I felt so connected to my team.”

Last week, the team honored this years seniors at the game against Pioneer Valley on October 2nd. The seniors include: Matilda Laurie, Violette Nava, Skylar Evans, Camille Sherrod, Zoe Makowetski, Elena Whitmer, Lillian Castaneda, Maya Cabrinha, Kaitlin Asuncion, and Kristian Krull. “It was very emotional but we had a blast.” said Sherrod.

The varsity girls play again Wednesday October 10th at Nipomo High where they have the chance to tie for first in league.
