“Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” Opens Thursday

The Morro Bay High School Theatre Arts program will be performing their newest production, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”, on November 8th, 9th, and 10th at 7-9 P.M. November 8th is the opening night and students can get tickets at half price. It will feature several students and music composed by Brayden Appell.

The play will highlight Jack Vogel and Marisa Dinsmoor as leads and tells the story of a boy named Christopher as he struggles to solve the mystery of his dog’s murder and learns more about himself as he struggles with internal issues that make him see the world differently. “It’s about his journey through life,” says Katherine Konjoyan.

In a past interview, the director of the Theatre Arts Program, Ms. Eben, described the play as a contemporary, modern story that deals with important subject matters told through non-linear storytelling methods. It is a small cast of five boys and five girls, who have been attending rehearsals for the past eight weeks, working on blocking and character work. The students have spent the last week rehearsing nearly non-stop, even coming to school during the weekends. Readers can learn more about the play and rehearsals here.
