3 of the Best Classic Christmas Movies

The Christmas season brings out excitement and joy from everyone and there’s no doubt that Christmas movies get us in the mood for some hot chocolate and homemade cookies. There are a handful of Christmas movies that everybody gets excited for.

One of those movies is the classic film How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The story tells of a mean, old Grinch with a small heart that lives on a mountain overlooking the Christmas obsessed town of Whoville. The Grinch thinks up a plan to steal all the presents from Whoville to stop Christmas once and for all. After he steals all the presents he realizes that presents don’t make Christmas but in fact, it’s the people. I believe that this movie exceeded expectations and is just an all-around great Christmas movie for kids or someone who wants to get into the holiday spirit.

Another great classic Christmas movie is the comedy, Elf. Elf is one of those movies that everyone is down to watch and laugh at. Elf is about a human named Buddy that was an orphan, but when Santa came to his orphanage to deliver presents Buddy snuck into Santa’s gift sack and was brought to the North Pole. Buddy then grew up in the North Pole and became the world’s tallest elf. Buddy then was told that his elf father wasn’t actually his father and that his dad lived in New York City. Buddy then decided to make his way to New York and gets into a lot of funny situations and learns new things about life outside the North Pole. Elf is the perfect Christmas movie if you need something hilarious, and brings out the Christmas joy in all of us.

Lastly, a great Christmas movie to watch is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is by far one of the best Christmas movies because it is a spin on the classic Christmas story. Yes, he still gets bullied for having a red nose, but in the movie, Rudolph actually runs away to find friends that won’t judge him. This is where he meets Hermey the Misfit Elf.  Rudolph and Hermey find a place where all the toys that were broken or not good enough for Christmas have been hiding in a castle. So much more happens in this amazing and inspiring holiday movie. This movie is good for if you want a family movie something more heartwarming.
