After the recent success of our last performance, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, we at MBHS Theatre Arts are beginning the first step in preparation for our spring musical, Mamma Mia! We are so thankful for the support from our school and the community in response to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, a show that offered a different experience from others we have performed in the past. Each individual gave their all to prepare the show and make it a success. It was truly inspiring and wonderful to hear such a positive response from our lovely audiences, and our plans for Mamma Mia! are even bigger and better!
Mamma Mia! tells the exciting, and spirited story about Donna Sheridan, owner of a hotel in Greece, who is working to plan the perfect wedding for her daughter, Sophie. At the same time, bride to be, Sophie, has plans of her own to invite her three possible dads, Sam, Bill and Harry to her wedding without the knowledge of Donna with the hope of discovering her true father in time to walk her down the aisle. With fantastically fun and eccentric music from the band Abba, Mamma Mia! will give you the time of your life!
Auditions for our musical are December 4, 6, and 7, so it is not too late to join. These include one singing audition and one dancing audition in order to be a part of the show. Information and instructions are on our website for those who are interested. The performances will be March 15, 16, 17, 22, and 23, and we would love to see you all there.
