The End of All Ends
When I started writing this I had no idea what to say. I think that’s the best way, to sum up, “Avengers: Endgame”, it left me completely, utterly speechless. It’s the last movie of phase three, the last Stan Lee cameo, and the end of an eleven-year-long movie saga. It exceeded expectations and gave the audiences the closure they needed.
Stan Lee, the creator of the Marvel Comics itself, acts out his last and final cameo. His tragic death was a hard blow to the Marvel community, which left many questions about the future of his famous performances. Fortunately, he had filmed several cameos in advanced, however, Endgame was his last.
If I had to rate this movie it would be a solid 10/10. Like I said it gave the audience closure on every storyline, universe, and character, while still leaving open many possibilities for new movies. It was a perfect mixture of exciting, heartbreaking, and playful storytelling. It kept true to the Marvel spirit with witty jokes, but it also kept things serious, especially for the topic choice of the movie. The plot, characters, and world-building were as spot on as ever. It was a true Marvel Cinematic masterpiece, that deserved its 96% on rotten tomatoes. The best way to see this movie is to have a spoiler-free experience of the endgame. While the trailers said very little, I always find it best to avoid them, just so that the jokes aren’t spoiled, particularly because it is the last movie of this phase.
One thing a lot of fans are wondering is what comes next. Marvel just recently bought back “X-men”, and they have announced that they will be doing a “Dark Phoenix” movie. This comic book was widely popular, and it will be interesting to see what Marvel does with it. They have announced several other movies as well, and for a full list at Time.com. With the end of all ends, the Marvel community can only speculate on what comes next.
