Top 10 Songs of the Summer

This collection of songs blew up and were popular all throughout the summer of 2019. Feel free to look these songs up in your spare time and enjoy the top hits of the Summer.

  1. Old Town Road – Lil Nas X (feat. Billy Ray Cyrus)

Arguably one of the biggest songs of the decade, “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X now holds the record for most weeks being number one on the Top 100 Chart. Old Town Road is a mix between modern rap and an older country style, as reflected by (this remix’s) singers. Billy Ray Cyrus, who’s career hit a high point in the 1990s, might not have been many people’s idea of who would be featured in a rap song, but this very unique mashing of genres turned out to be exactly what the world wanted.

  1. bad guy – Billie Eilish

Although the song came out before summer break, “bad guy” by Billie Eilish played throughout the entire summer, and the music video now has nearly 500 million views.

  1. Ransom- Lil Tecca

The song that blew Lil Tacca up. Lil Tecca is a young rapper who believed he was going to blow up from the beginning, and Ransom guaranteed that he would.

  1. Earfquake – Tyler the Creator

Although it came out a day or two before summer vacation, Earfquake by Tyler the Creator was one of the biggest songs of the summer, and Igor, the album this song was in, reached number one album the week it came out.

  1. Boy with Luv – BTS (feat. Halsey)

It’s K-POP.

This new addition in the genre that has taken the world by storm was (somewhat unsurprisingly) a massive hit worldwide.

  1. Panini – Lil Nas X

One of a few songs that came out after “Old Town Road” blew up, “Panini” attracted many viewers, and the original version now has over 40 million views on YouTube.

  1. Truth Hurts – Lizzo

This song became popular on Tik Tok when users made their own versions of this song.

  1. Suge – Dababy

Dababy was a relatively new rapper at the time, and Suge put him on the map. With over 100 million views on YouTube, Suge helped Dababy become an XXL Freshman and sign with Dreamville, a rap group with some very notable rappers, such as J. Cole.

  1. Never Really Over- Katy Perry

I guess it wasn’t really over. This pop song came out at the end of May and became a big hit.

  1. Talk – Khalid

Really great song by an artist who’s won Billboard Music Awards for Top New Artist of the Year. And this pop song came out in the first week of February.
