The fairytale-themed homecoming will take place on October 19, which is only a few weeks away. Embrace your school spirit and show up for a night to remember. Admission is $20, $15 with ASB, and $25 for a couple. The dance goes from 7:30 to 10:30 pm in the small gym, and all grade levels here at MBHS are welcomed.

Homecoming isn’t just one day to look forward to, it is preceded by a whole week of fun. October 14th-19th is homecoming spirit week, with an activity or challenge each day. Alana Sachs, a  member of the school ASB, explains, “Monday (10/14) is pajama day, Tuesday (10/15) is a caramel apple eating contest, Wednesday (10/16) is a tug-of-war challenge, Thursday (10/17) is a relay rescue and Friday (10/18) is dress-up day as well as the homecoming football game.”

By dressing up for game day, you can represent your grade and the fairytale theme. “Each grade level has different costumes,” Alana shares. “Seniors are witches and wizards, juniors are villains, sophomores are knights, and freshmen are mythical creatures.” Adding to the excitement, dress-up day is taking place the same day as the game. Come out to support the football team, and to see the magical homecoming floats.

Homecoming is a classic high school experience that is open to all grade levels here at Morro Bay High. There is dancing, football, spirit activities and dress up, something for everyone. Along with all the fun, going to the dance or the game is also a way to gain more points for your link crew, which will increase your chance of winning the end of the year Six Flags trip. Homecoming only happens once a year; don’t miss out!
