50 years ago today, Morro Bay High School was the site of the “Battle of the Century,” in which faculty members faced off against a team of dads of Morro Bay High School students in a game of basketball. Out of the three games, faculty won one while the Dads took home two victories.
Today, parents are not often the athletes of choice for basketball games, so we don’t know for sure how they would fare against our teachers. However, when asked about how he thinks he would do in such a game, English teacher Mr. Mammarella predicted that he would “epicly lose.”
Perhaps, then, we should just hope that our teachers and dads would use the opportunity to make some new friends.
