Campus Reopening Update: MBHS Expected to Reopen March 15

San Luis Coastal Unified School District will likely reopen on March 15, 2021, according to the school board meeting that happened on February 16, which voted unanimously. Schools will reopen if San Luis Obispo County’s COVID-19 totals meet the goal of 7 per 100,000 for five days. Current COVID-19 totals for the county are at 15.6 per 100,000, having declined over the past several weeks (the requirements for the Red Tier).

There has also been a slight change to the schedule with the times; for those who chose In-Person learning will start at 8:15 am and end at 11:15 am. For those who chose Distance learning will go in the afternoon from 12:15 pm-3:15 pm.

This new plan replaces the plan that the School Board voted on in November 2020, which established that schools would reopen if San Luis Obispo County met the 7 per 100,000 goal for 21 days.
