The 2025 Homecoming dance is over, and the students had a lot of fun. The theme was Echoes of the Deep. The theme was really cool, and most people liked how it was ocean-themed. There were many decorations and neon lights, which most people thought were really cool. They made the gym feel like you were in the ocean with neon lights everywhere. The ASB class really put in a lot of hard work and effort to create a fun dance for everyone.

The jellyfish entrance and hand-painted decorations were very pretty, and you could tell ASB took a long time on them. Senior Willa Turton, the Dance Committee head, said, “The big boat probably took the longest to make because I had to buy the wood, paint it two coats, cut it to size, and assemble it.” The boat was located at the DJ booth. People were so excited that there was a line out the door waiting to enter. They made the gym look so different from how it usually looks. The DJs, seniors Aesa Vidati and Anders Schuerfeld, did a great job, even though the music got unplugged a lot, and towards the end, the lights came on by accident.

Students are dancing the night away at the dance.

The music they chose was fun to dance to and kept many people dancing during the night. The setup for the dance was mostly in the gym for the main part of the dance. There were also some food tables and seating outside for people who needed a break. There was also an area outside, because if it got too hot inside, you could go outside to reset. It was fun to dance, and people kept backing up to make a circle where one person would go in the middle and dance. Everyone danced with their friends, and it was really fun. Since there were so many people, it was very crowded, and a lot of people started shoving other people, and people’s feet got stepped on, which is dangerous because you could get really hurt. There was also a really cool photobooth, and lots of people lined up to get their picture taken. Most people enjoyed the dance and were glad they could come.

Freshman Reese Brinkman said, “I think the dance was really fun and I really liked getting ready with my friends.” She said, “I also liked the DJs and the music.” Noa Dancelme-Zarek, who is a ninth grader, said, “I really liked the dance, and I liked the food there except the rice things.” She also explained that she really liked the music the DJs were playing. This dance was really fun to go to, and all the decorations at the dance were really good. You can tell ASB put a lot of time and effort into planning the dance, and they did a great job.
