What are MBHS Students Looking Forward to for Summer?

Summer is one of the best parts of the year, and many students leave for the summer to go on trips because that’s the only time there’s a lot of time to leave without missing any school. 

Freshman Kaleo Gabriel is going to the Bahamas this summer. Gabriel is super excited to go on a trip this summer. “I have never been to the Bahamas before, and I am super excited,” Gabriel said. Gabriel is also going to many places over the summer for soccer; his team is going to be in a lot of tournaments this summer, so he will be gone a lot. 

Freshman Chava Brody is going to New York this summer. Brody hasn’t been to New York either, so she is very excited to see what’s there. Brody wants to go shopping and find really cool thrift stores in New York, and take many photos. One of the things that she wants to do is go to the Statue of Liberty.

Brody is also going to Hawaii over the summer to visit her cousins. Brody always goes to Hawaii during the summer because that’s the only time she can see her cousins, and she likes to go to Hawaii to see the island. Brody is also super excited for the California Mid-State Fair this summer, and she is going to two concerts during the fair. Brody’s favorite concert that she will be attending is Chris Stapleton. Brody mentioned that she has had her tickets to Chris Stapalton for a long time, so she is really looking forward to the concert. “My dad bought the tickets for my friend and me for her birthday, and Chris is one of our favorite country singers,” Brody said. 

Sophomore Mia Garner is going to Austria this summer, as she has never been there before, but is super excited to go and visit family. A foreign exchange student named Madlen Kish came to this school for a semester, and Garner and she became super close friends, and now she is going to visit her for two weeks in the summer. Garner has never traveled by herself before, and now she will be for the first time. “I am super scared to go on the plane by myself for the first time because I hate turbulence,” Garner said. Garner says she is super happy that her parents are letting her go to Austria by herself. Garner hopes to be able to visit her cousin more often. 

Freshman Joise Smith is going to Arizona this summer to also visit her family and have a family reunion. Smith has a family reunion every two years, and it’s always in Arizona. Smith might go up to Arizona the next day after her family does because she wants to go to a concert this summer, and the day of the concert is on the day that her family is set to leave. Smith has to pay for her own ticket if she wants to go a day later, so she is still deciding if she wants to go to the concert
