Lainey Wilson is an American singer and songwriter in the country music genre. Her album, “Whirlwind,” was released in 2024, and it was a big hit. In an interview she did with Spotify, she said, “‘Whirlwind’ was written in a time of my life that was spinning 90 miles per hour, it’s the word that I kept hearing and seeing, and saying every time when I was asked to describe the past couple of years.”
“4x4xU” is one of the top songs on the album. It’s all about finding that one person who makes you feel a certain way. She’s talking about how she found a person who makes her do things she normally wouldn’t do or even consider doing.
Her song, “Whirlwind,” on the album is about how fast life goes by and how fast life can seem at times. But it’s also a reminder that you have to live life to its fullest because overwise it’s going to go by fast.

Her other song, “Bell Bottoms Up,” was written about her bar that she owns in downtown Nashville. She and her band wrote this song together, and it’s a very upbeat song. They wrote it on the road at a studio in London, England. The song is about having a good time and going out. Such as going out with your girl friends, letting lose, and leaving all the stress behind.
Another song on the album, “Whiskey Colored Crayon,” is about the dream life. It’s about being young, having dreams and goals for your life. It talks about being in kindergarten, drawing the perfect picture of the perfect life.
