Junior Aryah Weisberg is a girl who is a lot of fun. She likes people, is really positive, motivated, and has a really interesting party joke.
Weisberg likes to do things that keep her physically active and that gives her something to do. She is really dedicated to the sports she is doing, and when she is dedicated to something, she is dedicated! Golf and softball are her sports. It’s her second year doing both of them. In softball, she is a pitcher. Weisberg is also doing drama for the first time this year.
“I don’t know how to feel, but I’m really excited,” she said about her first time doing drama.
Weisberg was born in San Luis Obispo. The first year of her life, she lived in two places. For the first 6 months of her life, she lived in Morro Bay, and the other 6 months, she lived in Bakersfield.
At home she likes to just lie in bed and listen to music. She is really into music and loves finding new songs and making new playlists. Heavy metal is her favorite, and a bit of pop.
”Anything new, count me in!” she said.
Weisberg has lived with both of her parents most of her life. But because of the recent divorce, she lives mostly with her dad. Her mom has an identical twin sister. Identical twins have the exact same DNA, so her little cousin is also biologically her half-brother. She has a cool party joke: “My cousin is also my brother!”
Weisberg has never taken a journalism course before. She really liked writing literature in her past English classes. “So why not take a course where you can write. And at the same time make new friends, while you interview people,” she said
Last year was not a good year for Weisberg. She was hospitalized, had a family member pass away, and on top of it all, she was broken up with. This year, she is very motivated for a fresh start, and is trying to make the best year possible.
“New year, new me!” said Weisberg.
