Julieana Gonzalez Ochoa

Julieana Gonzalez Ochoa, Writer

Julieana Gonzalez Ochoa, a senior entering her final year of high school, is such a fun person to be around. She is courageous and outgoing, as described by her friends. Outside of school, she likes to play soccer and hang out with her friends. She plays almost all of the positions, her primary position being defense, just not goalie.

School is a large priority to Ochoa, as she is looking into colleges now. Over the summer, she took American government, economics and worked. Even with all that on her schedule, she still finds time to fit in soccer. She is a very versatile player and likes to play many positions. Ochoa helps the team greatly by being so versatile and reliable.

With many of the soccer games being later in the day, she has to use her time wisely. With her schedule so packed, she still finds ways to fit in time for her friends and family. Although described as more introverted, many people still say she is such a funny person and a great person to be with.

When asked who Ochoa’s biggest role models were, she said, “My sister, she’s very independent, and I want to be as independent as her.” When Ochoa has the luxury of having nothing to do, she enjoys just sitting around and “chilling.”

Fellow soccer player, Freshman Sienna Dvoracek said, “Julie is very nice and is always willing to help you if you get confused during drills. She’s good at defending. She’s a great role model and leader. Julie seems to love the sport a lot and has fun during practices.”  Her love for the sport has led her to be a reliable and important role player for the Morro Bay High School girls’ soccer team.

Julie Gonzalez Ochoa is such a great person, a good soccer player, and an even better friend. Not only that, but she is a great student who keeps up in her classes.
