Sienna Dvoracek, Writer
Freshman Sienna Dvoracek is a confident, empathetic, and social girl. Dvoracek has played soccer since she was five years old. Her passion for soccer resides in the communication that it takes to play the sport, as well as being in a team. Dvoracek appreciates being around her friends and loves meeting new people. Living in Los Osos, she enjoys the freedom of her hometown, and the simple joys of”being able to walk around the places,” said Dvoracek.
Looking back on her first day at Morro Bay High School, she expected to be nervous. “I thought I would be scared, but I wasn’t. I just didn’t want summer to be over,” she said. At first, the campus felt big and intimidating. As a freshman, it can be hard to find all your classes, but Dvoracek managed it by asking people around the school. The biggest change from middle school, according to Dvoracek, is “you’re not having many classes with your whole grade,” she said. Her advice to other new students is encouraging: “Just don’t be nervous. Nobody really cares how you look and what you do,” she said.
Dvoracek’s first steps into high school show that she is ready to take the challenge with a positive attitude. If she had to sum herself up, she would describe herself in three words: “fun, kind, and energetic,” a fitting description of a student who brings joy to her high school journey.
