Tenny Garmhausen, People Section Editor
Tenny Garmhausen is a kind and calm person who is good at adapting to her surroundings. She is a junior, and she just moved here this year from a small school in Colorado. “The school was like 700 kids, K–12, so it was really small,” Garmhausen said. Coming into a bigger school this year, Garmhausen is very excited to start this new school year and meet new people. “I’m just excited to be in a new place with new people,” said Garmhausen.
Garmhausen also plays soccer, which she’s played since she was in kindergarten. On top of playing soccer and striving to try out and get on the team this winter, Garmhausen’s goals for the year are to get good grades as well as good attendance, and to be “as stable as I can,” said Garmhausen.
Aside from extracurricular activities and sports, in school, their favorite classes are Journalism, because of her love for writing, and AP 2D art, for love of art and drawing.
When Garmhausen doesn’t succeed, she picks herself up, “I try my best, and sometimes I don’t succeed, but that’s just life itself,” Garnhausen said. Garnhausen’s positive view on life is inspiring and really shows who she is. Coming into an in-person school from online school can be challenging, but with Garnhausen’s outlook, there’s no doubt that she will thrive at Morro Bay High School.
