The 2025 winter formal at MBHS took place on Friday, Dec.12, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Theatre, instead of the small gym for the first time ever. The DJ booth was located on the stage, and the DJs were seniors Aesa Vidati, Anders Schuerfeld, junior Reid Heffner, and sophomore Noah Korman. The DJs played many different genres and types of music, such as Christmas songs and a couple of slow songs, but they mostly played remixes and party music. The theme for this year’s winter formal was Snowfall on 5th Avenue, and the theatre was dressed up with winter decorations

Some of the decorations included hand-painted posters, Christmas lights and streamers, and most people loved the decorations and theme of this dance. In the entrance, there was a table to check in, an archway with metallic streamers hanging from it, and when you walked all the way through, you entered the theatre for the main dance. There was also an outside area that had tables of food, chex mix, rice krispies treats, brownies and many other snacks. There were also big containers of ice water and mini cups next to it. Next to the food and water area, there was folding chair seating.
It was a nice addition in case you got tired or felt like sitting down and talking with your friends. To get to the outside area, you entered through a big inflatable archway. Most people stayed inside and danced with their friends and only went outside if it got too hot inside or if they wanted something to eat or drink. It added to the theme and experience of the overall dance.
Sophomore class presidents hosted Penny Dinunzio and Eamon Brennan this year’s Winter Formal, as it is the fundriaser or their class to pay for prom next year. ASB put a lot of hard work and effort into creating this year’s winter formal, and they did a great job. Many people weren’t able to make it because of MBHS sports like soccer and basketball, and there were other students who could not attend because of outside activities like dance competitions.

The weather was cold and misty outside, but inside it was hot, and most people were sweaty because it was so hot from all the people inside dancing and jumping. People were also very close, like the last dance, but not as close because there was a lot more room in the theatre, so people didn’t get shoved or get their feet stepped on like last time. People also made big dance circles like the last dance, where someone would dance in the middle, and everyone else would clap and stand on the outside watching. There were many different people in different grades, and they were wearing many different outfits. Some people were wearing short dresses, but most were wearing long dresses. Overall, a majority of people really enjoyed going to the dance and had a lot of fun at this year’s winter formal.
